What do I need to do to prepare the area where I want to place the container?
We recommend placing timber sleepers or concrete blocks under the container to keep it a minimum of 100mm off the ground. This allows air circulation under the container and helps prevent rust and rot developing on the underside of the container, especially in damp areas. DO NOT place the container directly on bare damp ground.
How do you deliver my container?

Generally we use a sliding tilt tray vehicle where the container slides off the back of the truck and the truck drives out from underneath the container. You must nominate to us if you want the container doors facing the back of the truck or facing the drivers cab of the truck.

Yes of course, you're welcome to arrange your own delivery and collect from our depot. Please co-ordinate suitable times with our staff.
When can you deliver?

We deliver on all business days between our working hours of 0730-1630. On occasions, we can arrange out of office hours deliveries however this incurs additional fees.
What information do you require from me?

It is up to the customer to ensure their delivery site is suitable for a truck to enter their property. If you are unsure about details, please call us to discuss and we can run you through clearance requirements.
Please ensure you take into account any overhead obstructions (trees and power lines) along with the weather forecast (our drivers do not want to get bogged in the middle of a wet paddock).

You can hire your asset for as long as you like. Just keep it on site until you're finished, then call our office to arrange a pick up.
If we hire the asset for a while, will the hire paid be deducted from the final purchase price?

No. We either hire or sell our assets. If you wish to pay it off in increments, we suggest you contact a bank or other financial institution. You can purchase the asset you have on hire at the market rate of the day.
Can we purchase the asset we're hiring at a later date?

Yes you can. The purchase rate will be in line with what Tasbulk deem the current market rate at the time of purchase. Please also note that we will continue to charge hire until the balance of the purchase invoice has been paid in full.
What about insuring the asset on hire?

You (the hirer) are responsible for insuring the container.

If I buy a second hand asset, do I get a "warranty"?
If I buy a second hand asset, do I get a "warranty"?
No. Second hand equipment is sold ”As is / Where is”. The purchaser is responsible for ensuring they have inspected the equipment and they accept the equipment in its current state of repair.
How long does a CSC plate last once it is stamped?
How long does a CSC plate last once it is stamped?
On a brand new container a CSC plate lasts 60 months.
On a secondhand container that is deemed in satisfactory condition by an inspector, the CSC plate will be valid for 30 months before once again requiring inspection.

Only if it has a valid CSC safety approval plate.
